Transportation - Getting to CGS

Students who are districted to attend Brien McMahon High School
will use the transportation options normally provided by the high
school.

Students attending CGS from the Norwalk High School district can
contact the Norwalk Public Schools transportation department to
request transportation once they have been accepted at 854-4074

Students attending CGS from outside the Norwalk Public Schools
district may travel to CGS either by train (with scheduled shuttle bus
from the South Norwalk train station) or by Van if students do not live
along the New Haven Line. See the Train and Van schedule below.

Directions to the school can be found at the following on the Brien
McMahon High School website (a new window will open):
http://www.casciac.org/scripts/show_dir.cgi?school=BrienMcMahon

Eligible students will receive a monthly pass to ride the trains to
school. For the first school days in August, we ask you to purchase
your own train tickets. We distribute the September train passes in
homeroom on the first day of school.

Always keep in mind that we cannot replace lost or stolen train
passes.

Please note:  There may be times when Metro North is not running
or is delayed due to mechanical or weather conditions.  If this
happens, you can choose to transport your child to school or keep
your child home.  You can access Metro North’s website at:  http:
//www.mta.nyc.ny.us/mnr/html/serviceupdates.htm for updates of
service interruptions.  You can also sign up to receive their updates
by email.

Van Schedule

A van schedule is created each year to accommodate students from
outside Norwalk that do not live near a train station. It changes every
year.
