The Center for Global Studies is an inter-district, international studies magnet school that focuses upon Arabic, Chinese and Japanese language, history, and culture.

The Center for Global Studies is located in Norwalk, Connecticut, on the Connecticut shoreline, serving students throughout lower Fairfield County. Currently we have students from Bethel,  Bridgeport,  Darien,  Fairfield,  Milford,  Monroe,  New Canaan, Ridgefield,  Stamford, Stratford,  Trumbull,  Weston,  Westport, and Wilton, as well as from Norwalk. Out of district students are bused or travel by train (paid for by the CGS) from their home districts.

Our graduates have gone on to schools such as Harvard, Brown, Cornell, George Washington, Columbia, Smith, NYU, and UCONN.

A developed fluency in uncommonly taught languages is particularly important for students interested in finance, international business, hotel administration and hospitality services, Ph.D. programs in East Asian or Middle East Studies, teaching or working in East Asia or the Middle East, and for all students interested in East Asian or Middle East culture and languages.

Our teachers are highly skilled, many are native speakers, and we are all proud of our unique and challenging program.
